Get Paid to Go to School @ Georgian!

Work and Study in Georgian's Co-op Programs

Gaining work experience in a new country can be one of the most difficult aspects of studying abroad. The benefits are very great though as you will have international experience as well as a great job to add to your resume that is in your related field of study. Luckily, Georgian's academic programs provide international students with the opportunity to work and study in one of the best locations in Canada while at the same time getting paid to go to school!

What is Co-op?

For most of the programs offered at Georgian, you can have the opportunity to work with a nearby employer while you do your studies at the College! Co-op placements mean that you alternate between paid work terms with an employer who is willing to train you and semesters of academic study in the classroom.

The International Centre staff will help you get an employment visa for your co-op placement and also help you to prepare a resume, cover letter, and gain interview skills to get the right job. Employers come to Georgian to post specific Co-op jobs and they always love to add a bright and ambitious international student to their team!

Our previous international students have found great work experience in companies all over Canada.

You could work for a strong Canadian or International Company like these!

  • SunLife Insurance Company
  • Prodomax Industrial Automation Intl
  • Honda
  • Statistics Canada (Federal Government)
  • Bank of Montreal
  • Royal Bank of Canada
  • Canadian Pacific Hotels
  • IBM
